During my first year at ENSEEIHT, I did an 13 weeks's intership at Groupama d'oc in Balma. The first year's internship aims to discover how a company and its employees work.

My mission during my internship was to facilitate the migration of Groupama's server data into SharePoint pages. However the servers had never been sorted and during more than 20 years everyone have had the possibility to create folders, upload files and so on. What is more each site of Grouapama had it's own server including Albi, Auch, Aurillac, Balma, Cahors, Gueret, Montauban, Pau, Rodez and Tulle. Therefore, I had to lead the project, delving into the existing servers, collecting information from various departments, finding out who owned the files, and orchestrating the organized transition of data to the new SharePoint platform.

One of my key responsibilities was to conduct meetings with the heads of different departments within the company. These meetings were crucial in understanding the specific needs of each service, identifying critical data, establishing a framework for deciding what to keep, delete, or archive. What is more, I had to make sure that the data kept complied with the RGPD. Collaborating with departmental leaders allowed me to create a comprehensive plan for the server migration project. The most difficult thing was the data shared between different services because I had to find out with who to talk. What is more, the project had been launched but many departments were unaware of it or just had other things to do rather than rethink their organisation.
First of all, thanks to this internship, I learned how to make a project supervision within a company. The following button downloads the presentation I have used to sum up my work to my superior.

I worked mainly on servers in Rodez and Montauban, and I have used extraction of the servers provided following a request to the IT Department. I worked on excel files that represented more than 2 millions lines.
I was very independent during the course. My manager would check in with me every week to see how the project was progressing, but otherwise it was up to me to contact the department heads and to see the project through. Additionally, I traveled to Montauban and Albi to meet with managers.

That's why this internship brought me a lot of skills and knowledge about how a company works. I've learnt leadership skills to run meetings, I've learnt how to talk to teams in a company to bring a project to a successful conclusion. I also learned about organization and how to convey information during project reports with my manager.
